Steroid cream for phimosis

Steroid cream or ointment is often used to help loosen tight foreskin and works in many cases. Your doctor will show you how to apply the cream to the tight area. When used every day for 4-8 weeks, the cream softens the foreskin. 

Your doctor may also show you gentle stretching and massaging techniques for the foreskin. These exercises should continue even after you stop using the cream to keep the foreskin flexible and prevent it from becoming tight again.

This treatment is safe and usually has very few or no side effects.
