What is bone metastases?

When bladder cancer spreads to the bones, it can weaken them. This can cause pain and increase the risk of fractures, sometimes even during everyday activities or after a minor injury. A fracture that happens because the bone has been weakened by cancer is called a pathological fracture.

These problems can affect your movement and quality of life. Your doctor may suggest radiation or medication to help make your bones stronger and control the pain.
