About this type of cancer
About 1 in 4 people with bladder cancer have a type that grows into the bladder muscle or beyond (stages T2–T4). This kind of cancer is more likely to spread to other parts of the body and needs more aggressive treatment. If not treated, it can be deadly.
This chapter contains general information about non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice or treatment. Always consult your doctor or healthcare provider for guidance on your individual medical situation.
