A cystoscopy is a procedure in which the doctor looks inside your body with a cystoscope inserted through the urethra.

This procedure is used to examine your bladder. A cystoscope is a thin tube with a camera and light on the end. This inside view allows your doctor to look for causes of bleeding or blockage, or any abnormalities of the bladder and its lining.
